Methacycline and .alpha.- and .beta.-doxycycline sulfosalicylates were prepd. by dehalogenating 11a-chloro-6-deoxy-6-demethyl-6-methylene-5-hydroxytetracycline hydrofluoride or p-toluenesulfonate with N2H4.H2O-Pd-C and treating with 5-sulfosalicylic acid.
