Compression mechanism of HPMC-AS based amorphous solid dispersions
Source:
AAPS 2017
To evaluate the compaction behavior of hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose acetate succinate (HPMC-AS) in either the form of the supplied granulate, the spray dried powder or the API-loaded amorphous solid dispersion (ASD) formulated into an ASD-based tablet. The focus of this work is the analysis of the particle/granule deformation under compaction pressure and assessment of the differences in the compaction profile and mechanical strength of the tablets.
