The invention describes the use of nanofiltration of org. solvents as a general platform for removing genotoxic impurities, also known as genotoxins, used as a reagent or formed during the synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients or their intermediates. The invention thus focuses, in particular, on the removal of the most common classes of genotoxic impurities using membranes.
